We’re delighted to offer via ZOOM, a chat with Daryl Lim, co-founder of Augmentus. Founded in 2019 in Singapore, Augmentus is a no-code robotics platform which enables non-technical users to program industrial robots in minutes, instead of months. Since being nominated by CUAAHK to compete with over a hundred others in the ATEC (Asia Technology Entrepreneurship Conference) 2022 competition, Augmentus has been selected as one of the eight finalists for the Finals on Dec 3^rd at HK’s Cyberport.

Prior to Augmentus, co-founders Yong Shin, Voon Foo, and Daryl spent years developing industrial automation solutions for MNCs in the manufacturing sector, where they experienced the high difficulty and heavy fragmentation in conventional robotics, and knew that there had to be a better way to program robots to make it easier and more accessible to the masses. Necessity and passion then drove them to dedicate 3+ years pioneering 3D scanning and motion planning technologies to solve this challenge.

Augmentus’s products and services are already being used by the leading manufacturing companies around the world, such as Hyundai, Johnson & Johnson, Fujitsu, and many more, since their recent product launch in mid-2022.  Come join us to hear Daryl speak about this distinguished and remarkable startup story!

Guest Speakers Bio

Daryl is the co-founder of Augmentus, an AI-robotics software company, where he works closely with robot manufacturers and system integrators to lower skill and cost barriers for companies to adopt robotic automation. Prior to his work in Augmentus, Daryl also co-founded Illuminate Singapore, a social issue conversations platform, and Edge Neo, a computing distribution company that is the largest distributor of blockchain encryption solutions in SEA. Daryl is the recipient of many accolades, including the Forbes 30-under-30, and National Youth Entrepreneur of the Year. By positioning himself at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution to fulfil his life-long goal of building a sustainable future, he has inspired many, particularly the next-generation youth.

John Hsu, Business School ‘92, is CUAAHK’s chair of Entrepreneurship and Morningside Salon events, and is passionate about sharing his experiences as an investor in both the public and private markets (including VC), and bridging people and companies between his twin domiciles of  Hong Kong and Singapore.
