Geopark Boat Trip in Sai Kung

9.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (excluding return transportation)

Please join CUAAHK for an educational boat trip to learn about HK’s unique Geopark in Sai Kung including the Volcanic Rock and Sedimentary Rock structures.  Children friendly and family welcome.  The trip will be guided by certified eco tour guides in English and Cantonese. 

Meeting Details:

9.30 am – meet at Star Ferry Terminal car park in Central to take a bus arranged by CUAAHK to Sai Kung. 

10:00 am - board boat at Sai Kung Pier to visit Kiu Tsui Chau Island (or called Sharp Island) for a 45 minute walk to understand the rock structures.  We will board the boat again to tour other islands (Tiu Chung Chua/Jin Island, Kau Sai Chau, etc.) and the guides will explain the volcano structures from the boat. 

1:00 pm – arrive back at Sai Kung Pier.  Lunch is not included - feel free to have a seafood lunch around Sai Kung or just go hiking/bike around the pier.  Return transportation to be arranged on your own.

Details: 

Please note this is NOT the type of junk trip or speed boating where you can wake board or go into water – we will not go into water for safety reasons and appreciate your understanding.

Total Duration: 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (excluding return transportation)

Total Cost:      HK$350 per head for CUAAHK member including current students

                       HK$425 per head for non-CUAAHK member

Capacity: 20 slots are available and family /friends / children are welcome! Please RSVP by 17 June 2021, Thursday, with full payment.

Notes:

In case of black rain or typhoon signal greater than 3 (as determined at 7:30am on July 3), the boat tour will be rearranged to another date.

We will be honoring social distancing rules and if new changes are stipulated by the HK government, any refund policies will be determined at that time.
