CUAAHK Island Hike around Tai Tam Reservoirs

Before it gets too hot, let's go hiking! And this time you also have an opportunity to make your hiking effort count and fundraise for a cause.

Duration: 11:00 am – 2:30 pm (excluding return transport/lunch/drinks).

This will be an easy to moderate hike and will be an 8 - 9 km hike. En route, we intend to walk along the various scenic reservoirs on Hong Kong Island. After the hike, we will have options to have a late lunch and/or chilled beers.

Since April is Hike for Hospice Month, with this event, CUAAHK is promoting fundraising for the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care (SPHC / 善寧會).
If you are interested, pls register at https://www.fringebackerevents.com/events/hike-for-hospice-2021/) Although there is no registration fee for the event, if you decide to fundraise, participants are encouraged to create a personal online fundraising page at FringeBacker and raise as much as you possibly can for the cause (minimum suggested HKD 100 per person). All proceeds will help terminally ill patients and their families receive hospice and palliative care and bereavement counselling. Please note the fundraising is optional and is not needed to join the hike.

Other Notes
Please wear comfortable hiking shoes, sunscreen and appropriate outdoor gear (hike poles optional). Don’t forget to carry ample water, snacks and cash.
As a portion of the hike is an uphill trek, we do not recommend bringing strollers or children under 7 years old.
Please monitor the weather conditions and prepare accordingly. You can carry a rain poncho to be on the safer side.
