About the Book - Assignment China
The China beat is considered one of the toughest in journalism and one of the most important. U.S. media coverage of China has profoundly influenced American government policy and shaped public opinion, not only in the U.S. but around the world. Assignment China is the story of American journalists who have covered China; from the Communist revolution of 1949 to the present day, in their own words. Judy Woodruff of PBS described the book as "riveting reading for anyone who wants to understand China, or cares about how great reporters do their work," providing important insights about China, journalism, and Sino-American relations at a critically important time. Mike will be happy to sign copies of his book for anyone who brings a copy. It can be ordered on Amazon here
