CUAAHK would like to cordially invite you to our next Morningside Salon discussion with Mr. Miles Price, practitioner of Functional Medicine & Clinical Nutritionist at LifeClinic, a HK-based private health company focused on providing integrative personalized solutions for holistically optimizing health, primarily through disease prevention, as well as diagnosis and treatment for the root causes of a wide range of chronic diseases.

We are living in health paradox - despite access to the so-called “best” healthcare practices, auto-immune, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease have grown to become chronic and pervasive killers. Profit-related goals of food providers often conflict with the health goals of the consumer, with highly-processed toxic food products frequently appearing in food chains and restaurants.  Functional medicine reveals that there's a strong connection between lifestyle and disease risk - food is actually “medicine”!

A new paradigm shift is necessary to restore health – to empower ourselves with the knowledge of exactly what we are consuming.  Find out which foods have the biggest impact on our health -explore the key components of the HK diet which are detrimental to your health, such as excessive carbs and toxic oils, and which substitutes can restore health.

*In this series of Health and Wellness topics,

Part One was “The Big Fat Lie: the cholesterol myth, and dietary fats”

Future topics may include:

- Essential Nutrients and Supplements - healthy dietary fats, proteins, and vegetables

- Annual Physicals – blood and diagnostic tests which really matter

- Developing a Healthy Immune System – mitigating infections, both bacterial and viral
