Lung Tsai Ng Yuan (in Chinese meaning Garden of Enlightenment at Lung Tsai) was built by the late Shanghainese textiles baron Mr. Woo Kun Sheng in mid-1960 as a "Hidden Garden" of the Jiangnan style. It is set in the deep mountains of Lantau Island two kilometers from the Tai O village. Please see the pictorial description.

When: Sunday June 8th, 2025
Dress code: casual and comfortable outdoor clothes with walking shoes, water bottle & sunscreen.
Program Agenda:
- 9:00 am: Chartered Bus pick up Tung Chung MTR station exit A
- 9:30 am: Bus drop off at Lung Tsai bus stop, 45 min walk/hike up to Lung Tsai Ng Yuen
- 10:15 am-11:30am: David Wu Jr, a Harvard alum, will greet and lead the heritage tour of Lung Tsai Ng Yuen
- 12:00 pm: Depart for 45 min walk to Tai O village for lunch
- 1:00 pm: Lunch at Moon Kee Lin Heung Restaurant, Tai O
- 3:00 pm: Optional to explore Tai O water village after lunch
- Return to Tung Chung by taxi or bus 11
Capacity: 18 for Columbia Alumni
Price: HK$50 for member, HK$100 for non-member. Note that ticket price covers only the bus fare and lunch is on a shared cost basis.
