To kick off the hiking season, heading out of the typhoon season, grab a mask and join us once again for the off beat hike trip to the ‘South Pole of Hong Kong’, Po Toi Island, on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Date: Sunday, September 26, 2021
Duration: 11:00am - 5:00 pm (including ferry)
Meeting Time: 11.00 am (Ferry departs 11.30 am sharp, and being a Sunday could get full asap) so please be on time
Meeting Location: Stanley, Blake Pier
About the hike: This will be a moderate hike where we start and finish at the Po Toi pier. En route, we will cross Old Mo's House to visit the Japanese WWII bunker, fascinating historical carvings and rock formations, while walking along the coastline with azure blue waters.
The hike will take approximately 3 hours. After the hike, we have option to have al fresco snacks on a huge outdoor wooden deck, touted to serve Hong Kong's best calamari, popular seaweed soup and other fresh seafood (~ HKD 150 pp, cash only).
Food is optional and can be swapped with chilled beers also. We will be in time to catch the 4.30 pm ferry back to Aberdeen/Stanley.

Other Notes
- Please wear comfortable hiking shoes, sunscreen and appropriate outdoor gear (hike poles optional). Don’t forget to carry ample water, snacks and cash.
- As a portion of the hike is an uphill trek, we do not recommend bringing strollers or children under 7 years old.
- Social distancing guidelines and grouping is expected to be adhered to. More details will be added to this FB Event page closer to the day of the hike
