CUAAHK would cordially like to invite you to our next Morningside Salon discussion with Mr. Yat Siu, a prominent Hong Kong based entrepreneur and angel investor. He is the CEO and Founder of the game-company Outblaze and Co-founder of Animoca and Animoca Brands and has received recognition for his role as an entrepreneur focused on Internet and technology companies in Hong Kong. He is well versed with the latest development in blockchain, NFT, Crypto and more.

Speaker: Mr. Yat Siu

Yat Siu is a Hong Kong based entrepreneur and angel investor who was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. He worked at Atari. He founded an internet provider in Hong Kong. He is the CEO and Founder of the game-company Outblaze and Co-founder of Animoca and Animoca Brands and has received recognition for his role as an entrepreneur focused on Internet and technology companies in Hong Kong.  In 2009 he sold a part of his business to IBM's Lotus Software Division which opened its first cloud computing laboratory in Hong Kong with the assets it acquired from Outblaze. Animoca Brands was worth a billion dollars in its last funding round.

He has received several awards including the DHL SCMP Business Awards and the Talent Unleashed Awards and has been named a Global Leader of Tomorrow as well as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.  He is also a member of the advisory board of BAFTA and a director of the Asian Youth Orchestra. Yat Siu studied at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.

Danny Lee is a partner at Blue Pool Capital who runs global private investments.  He has over 20 years of investment experience spanning venture, growth capital and buyout transactions globally. Before Blue Pool, Danny was a Managing Director at Bain Capital Asia and Vice President at Investor AB, the largest industrial holding company in Nordic region. He started his career in Lehman Brothers in NY and HK. Danny is an Aspen Finance Fellow, Edmund Hillary Fellow, a Chartered Financial Analyst and New Zealand Elevate Venture Fund Investment Committee Member. He serves the community through his role as an independent director at Hong Kong Chinese Women Club College, as a guest lecturer for Columbia Business School and Lingnan University, and through his scholarship supporting international students at Columbia University and the United World College in HK. Danny has a BA in Economics from Columbia.
